“Giannis Anastasopoulos holds a BSc in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Quality Management and Technology. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Information Technology sector, he has held a wide range of roles spanning Systems and Data Engineering, Information Security, and Quality Assurance.

Throughout his career, he has served in leadership positions including Engineering Team Lead, Technical Director, and Project Manager, delivering large-scale IT projects both in Greece and internationally. For a decade, until 2014, he was a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), specializing in the technical education, training, and certification of IT professionals.

For the past 5 years, Giannis has been part of Microsoft, focusing on the Public Sector and Education sectors. Initially served as an Account Technology Strategist and, since 2022, has been leading Microsoft’s Higher Education business across Greece, Cyprus, Malta, and the Adriatic region. His primary focus is helping academic and research institutions accelerate their strategic digital transformation by leveraging innovation, cloud technologies, AI, and modern digital solutions to address the evolving challenges of the higher education ecosystem.”
