Dimosthenis Voivontas is the Chief Executive Officer of the Renewable Energy Sources and Guarantees of Origin Operator (DAPEEP S.A.). He has more than 20 years of professional experience in the energy, industrial and investment sectors, with extensive expertise in renewable energy, project portfolio management, state aid schemes and strategic investments.

As Director General at the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, he coordinated the financing and implementation of projects and programmes under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). Previously, as Director of Strategic Investments at the Ministry of Development, he was responsible for the licensing of Projects of Common Interest (PCI) in the natural gas and electricity sectors. He also designed and implemented state aid programmes in the energy and industrial sectors and was involved in the environmental permitting of energy projects and industrial infrastructure.

He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), as well as an MBA. His doctoral research focused on energy planning and the maximization of renewable energy integration into the energy system.
