Ilias Salpeas is Sales Manager for Government, Defence & Space at Odyssey Cybersecurity, developer of ClearSkies, a unified SIEM/XDR/SOAR platform for real-time threat detection, cyber situational awareness and SOC automation. He knows both sides of the public sector table: alongside two decades in IT, information security and technology consulting, he served for ten years as an elected member of the Piraeus City Council and for three years as CEO of the Municipality of Piraeus development agency — direct experience of how public bodies plan, budget and procure. Today he works with government authorities, defence stakeholders and critical infrastructure operators to turn obligations such as NIS2 into operational detection and response capability. His remit spans public procurement strategy, European Defence Fund, Horizon Europe and NATO programmes, and consortium building around dual-use cyber capabilities. He holds a degree in Computing from the University of Portsmouth.
