Elena Iris Makri is an honors student in the second year of upper secondary school, with a particular aptitude for public speaking and an active engagement in debating and rhetorics. Since middle school, she has participated in school and regional debating competitions, earning multiple distinctions. Over the past two years, she has also actively participated in Model United Nations conferences, the European Youth Parliament, and Teens for Democracy, broadening her knowledge of and interest in European institutions, European Union policies, and democratic participation. At the same time, she develops teamwork and collaboration skills as a member of the girls’ volleyball team of ZAON Kifissia, while her participation in the National Theatre’s drama workshops fosters her creativity and communication skills.
