Maria Samolada began her career in 2000 and has worked across all major areas of journalism and media. She has collaborated with, among others, ALTER TV and TV100, REAL FM 107.1 and Radio Thessaloniki 94.5, the newspapers TO MANIFESTO, ThessNews and REAL NEWS, EXPOSED magazine, and MyPortal.gr. She was also the creator and General Director of GRTimes.gr until October 2023. 

Today, she presents and produces the daily news and current affairs radio programme #Thessaloniki_mou_kalimera on City 106.1 FM. She is responsible for the Press Offices of NOESIS – Science Center and Technology Museum and INAB/CERTH, presents and moderates conferences, is the founder of SAMtimes.gr, and serves as editor of the newspaper of the Thessaloniki Police Officers’ Union, “The Voice of Police Officers.”

She was honoured with the Botsi Foundation Journalism Award for her work in raising awareness, preventing and addressing school and cyberbullying through LiveWithoutBullying.com. She continues her social engagement and commitment to supporting families and children through ParentsWE.

Maria was born in Thessaloniki, where she continues to live and work by choice. She is the mother of one child and a member of the Union of Journalists of Macedonia and Thrace.
