Giannis Pomonis studied Computer Applications at IEK AKMI and Journalism at the Public Vocational Training Institute (IEK) of Patras. He has worked as a web designer and has also taught journalism at the Public IEK of Patras and IEK DELTA. He currently works as a journalist and reporter for thebest.gr, as well as a reporter, news presenter and news editor-in-chief at a television station in Patras, Ionian. In the past, he has also collaborated with radio stations and a newspaper in Athens, while working for other television media outlets in Patras. A technology enthusiast, he has basic knowledge of ActionScript 3 programming for mobile applications. He is highly experienced with video and image editing software, including EDIUS, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, having worked professionally for many years in digital video editing and videography. He also has a personal interest in exploring the latest developments in artificial intelligence. Since 2020, he has pursued astrophotography as a hobby. He is a member of the Union of Journalists of Daily Newspapers of the Peloponnese, Epirus and the Islands (ΕΣΗΕΠΗΝ).
