Prodromos Prodromidis is a Senior Research Fellow at Greece’s Centre for Planning and Economic Research (KEPE). He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), two master’s degrees from the Pennsylvania State University (USA), and a Ph.D. from the University of Essex (UK).

He has taught at the AUEB, the University of Cyprus, the National University of Ireland, and the Open Universities of Greece and Cyprus; directed research studies commissioned by the Greek Ministries of the National Economy and Finance, Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, alongside several regional authorities; and served as Vice-Chair of the OECD Territorial Development Policy Committee and Secretary General of the Greek Statistical Institute (the national statistical society).

His distinctions include an Academy of Athens Award for a spatial economics study, and drafting the plan that earned Western Greece the “European Entrepreneurial Region” title for 2017. He serves as Editor of the South-Eastern Europe Journal of Economics.
