Sergios Voilas
Sergios Voilas is Chief Coordinator and Research Associate at the Interorthodox Centre of the Church of Greece, specialising in interreligious dialogue, intercultural education, and social cohesion. He studied Theology in Athens and he pursued Ecumenical Studies at the Orthodox Centre of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Chambésy (Geneva) and in Fribourg, as a scholarship recipient of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. He is a KAICIID Fellow and actively engaged in international networks, including the European Practitioners Network Against Antisemitism (EPNA) and Future500. He coordinates European projects (Erasmus+, CERV, Council of Europe) focusing on democratic participation, combating Antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred, and linking education with sustainability. He served as a member of the Expert Committee of the PARTES project, implemented under the European Commission call on the protection of places of worship. The project focuses on strengthening security, resilience, and cooperation among religious communities, public authorities, and civil society actors. He recently contributed to the completion of the InterMu-Se project, promoting cooperation between religious actors and civil society.
