Dr. Tareq Al Jizawi holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, with significant twenty (20) years of experience in the administration of Public and Private Projects, with high scientific training and contribution to more than 11 publications in the scientific community and also a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) scientific community. He is the founder of GlobiLED, the largest company in Greece and the Balkans in high-tech, professional LED lighting, with more than 2000 major projects to its credit. In 2020 he founded GlobiSMART (spin-off company by GlobiLED) which plays a leading role in the design of smart cities, offering innovative, smart, integrated technological solutions (Smart Cities Solutions) while contributing decisively to the reduction of the environmental footprint and the saving of resources to municipalities and regions ensuring for all citizens a clean environment, health, safety and, ultimately, a better quality of life. Mr. Tareq Al Jizawi is one of the pioneers in Greece who installed the Smart Tele-managed LED luminaires in the Private and Public Sectors, in our country, while in the same context it continues with the development of smart cities.
